We
provide advanced head and neck cancer patients
with the treatment strategy of radiotherapy
and concurrent super-selective intra-arterial chemotherapy with cisplatin
neutralization by sodium thiosulfate (IA
chemoradiation). IA
chemoradiation is effective to maintain quality of life and speech and
swallowing function for the patients
Indication
for IA chemoradiation
•Maxillary
sinus squamous cell carcinoma, stage III, IV
•Oropharyngeal
squamous cell carcinoma, anterior wall type
•Hypopharyngeal
squamous cell carcinoma, stage III, IV
•Laryngeal
squamous cell carcinoma, stage IV
